Beth Moon

Beth Moon

Sentinels of St. Edwards

American photographer Beth Moon has spent the last 14 years searching for and photographing some of the largest, rarest and oldest trees in the world. With her distinctive, unmistakable visual language, she has become one of the leading nature photographers of our time. Beth Moon is an expert in the Mike Ware platinum printing method, which is renowned for its incomparable luminosity, ability to create a wide range of tones and its remarkable level of permanence. Like gold, platinum is very stable against chemical reactions that could degrade the print, so it could in theory last thousands of years. Beth Moon’s works have been shown in more than sixty solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Italy, England, France, Israel, Brazil, Dubai, Singapore and Canada, gaining her international recognition. Her work is held in various public and private collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, and the Fox Talbot Museum in Wiltshire, England. She has won numerous awards, including the Golden Light Award from the Maine Photographic Workshops, and her works have been published in major photography magazines. Additionally, she has published three books: Between Earth and Sky, published by Charta Art Books of Milan in 2013, Ancient Trees: Portraits of Time, published by Abbeville Press in 2014, and La Lange Verte, also published in 2014 by Galerie Vevais.
